Introduction to Alabama Chanin Hand Stitching
Join the slow sewing movement for a three hour introduction to learning the famous Alabama Chanin method of hand sewing embellishments on organic cotton jersey. Using an exclusive kit stenciled and prepared by Alabama Chanin, create a hand-sewn, running stitch/reverse applique tea towel. The techniques experienced in class can be applied to creative projects of all types, whether used selectively as unique design elements or to create all-over texture. All materials for the tea towel, including a practice sampler, are included for an evening of creative stitching satisfaction with all the coolest people.
The class will have a maximum of 7 participants. This course is suitable for all abilities.
$49 includes materials and light refreshments.
